Sculpture & Installation 2011-2012 > Assume the Position (DIscretion is a Holy Virtue)

The table top.

Dishes are filled with the same flowers that spill forth from the servant's neckline. On the platter is a representation of a swan carcass, mirroring the image stitched onto the maid's apron. Around the swan's neck, it is evident that it was clad in a uniform identical to the maid. This outfit, however, has been reduced to tatters. Nearby is a serving dish which is carefully lined with heart-shaped cut-outs of the fabric missing from the dress. Arising from the carcass are rosettes constructed from the same material used to make the ruffles on the gloves.
