This antique chair seeps and weeps. Cut-outs of floral upholstery fabric resembles networks that are both overgrown plant and wounded animal.
This chair was handed down to me from my grandmother. It was covered with very unattractive fabric. She was a cold, unyielding woman who lived alone for more than thirty years after my grandfather's death. The title refers to both fabric prints and familial heredity.
